The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for a Director: Postgraduate Studies & Postdoctoral Fellowships position on a 5 Year Fixed-Term Contract in the Research, Partnerships & Innovation division.
Minimum Requirements: Doctoral degree combined with 10-years' overall experience in higher education. Demonstrate a tenure of at least 5 years in a senior leadership position, together with a corresponding track record of postgraduate student supervision and hosting of postdoctoral fellows. Responsibilities: Be a key academic leader responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of postgraduate programmes and the postdoctoral experience. Be charged with strategic planning, programme development, and fostering a supportive environment for advanced research, training and scholarship, and collaborate with faculty, students and administrative units. Ensure the success and growth of postgraduate studies and postdoctoral programs. Serve as the central point for the coordination, administration, and the development of research capacity development programmes to support postgraduate students. Be the hub for postdoctoral research fellows, with your focus on supporting and nurturing them. Closing Date: 21 November 2024
