DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENTStart date: 1 January 2025
St Andrew's College invites applications for the role of Director of Advancement. This executive-level position, reporting directly to the
Headmaster and the College Council, offers a rare opportunity to lead a key strategic department, and influence the future of the school.
As Director of Advancement, you will oversee and drive critical areas including Communications and Marketing, Public Relations, Admissions,
Fundraising and Development, Archival Management, Alumni and other Stakeholder Relations, Donor Stewardship and Special Projects, including our upcoming 175th Anniversary celebrations.
This position is integral to shaping the financial sustainability and future direction of St Andrew's College. The Director of Advancement will be responsible for articulating the vision and mission of the school to a diverse range of stakeholders, including alumni, parents, Council members, and staff, while providing leadership in the development and execution of strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and expand the Advancement Department to support the school's long-term goals.Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising initiatives that align with the institution's mission and ensure excellent donor stewardship.Build and nurture relationships across the corporate, donor, and alumni networks.Manage communications and marketing strategies to enhance the school's reputation and outreach.Oversee admissions to ensure that St Andrew's College continues to attract top-tier students who embody our values.Manage the collection, cataloguing and curation of our extensive archival material.Manage a team of professionals within each of these areas.Manage and develop the current information systems and data bases to provide an effective and efficient service offering.Lead special projects, including our 175th Anniversary in 2030, ensuring they contribute to the school's growth and legacy.We are seeking an individual with: Executive-level experience in a corporate, non-profit, or educational environment.Proven success in strategic leadership, particularly in the fields of large-scale fundraising, marketing and communications.A strong network within corporate sectors and the ability to leverage these relationships.Visionary thinking and a forward-looking mindset, committed to the long-term success of the school.Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders.Experience in team leadership and people management.Requirements: Minimum: NQF Level 7 in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field with extensive relevant experience.Candidates can apply by accessing and completing the application on the link below
