What are we looking for in our Director, Food Solutions?
Russell Tobin has partnered with a leading, global provider of Food Quality solutions in finding a new Director of Food Solutions for EMEA. The role will be a remote position, with the view that travel will be required around 25% - 50% of the time. Our client sells their products, services, and consumables to FMCG, Food producers, Agriculture, and commodity traders globally.
We are looking for an experienced leader to drive the growth of the division and assume overall P&L and managerial responsibility for EMEA.
ResponsibilitiesP&L ownership and strategic direction for the EMEAI business, including management of multiple sub-P&Ls.Develop, articulate, and execute a strategic business plan to drive business growth and profitability, identifying new opportunities for expansion and market penetration, including channel mix.Implement effective performance metrics to evaluate, optimize operational efficiency, and report consistently and effectively on progress to business leadership.Grow market share.Strong business acumen and ability to motivate customers and close deals.Lead and inspire cross-functional commercial teams including sales, service, and field applications.Attract and develop a top-tier commercial team, instilling a high-performance culture with strong ownership and accountability.Develop a strong, working technical knowledge of the portfolio of products serving food markets, including identifying long-term business development opportunities.Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and emerging trends.Collaborate with global business stakeholders on cross-regional growth initiatives as a member of the business' Leadership Team.Drive operational excellence in the region, optimizing commercial footprint and scale.Remote home office base; however, this position does require a willingness to travel 60%.Basic QualificationsA bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.10+ years of sales or service experience in a business-to-business sales environment selling capital equipment.A minimum of 5 years of successful progressive management experience. A demonstrable record of significant career progression leading teams in a fast-paced environment.Preferred ExperienceP&L ownership experience across multiple countries.5+ years' experience in the food testing industry.Proven ability to manage and grow a €20M+ business.Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical information.
