It is a highly respected program within the business, financial and academic communities. Rotman Commerce serves approximately 3,400 in-program undergraduate business students as well as over 18,000 graduates of the Bachelor of Commerce program.Under the general direction of the Managing Director, the Director, Career Services is a key member of the program's senior management team contributing significantly to the establishment of Rotman Commerce's strategic priorities. The Director develops strategies, programming, and services to ensure that Rotman Commerce is recognized as a top-level business program for talent and recruitment purposes.The Director is responsible for new business development, employer relations, student programming and career education, and related marketing and communications. The Director manages all functions related to human resource management including organizational structure, assignment of work, as well as hiring, performance management and professional development of all career services staff. In addition, duties include budget management and development of operational plans as well as policy, procedure and program development.Essential Qualifications:I. EDUCATION: University degree, preferably an MBA degree or other graduate degree in a related field of study (e.g., human resources, employment relations, higher education).II. EXPERIENCE: Eight to ten years relevant work experience in senior level recruitment and career services management. Relevant experience includes: senior corporate recruitment, career services and consulting, executive search and career outplacement. Demonstrated skills and experience developing, managing and leading a team, preferably in a unionized environment.III. SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communications skills, outstanding organizational ability, thorough knowledge and understanding of training and development skills, curricula/program design and delivery, presentation skills, and an ability to relate well to the highly diverse and demanding communities of students and corporate partners. Strong customer service focus is essential.IV.
