Demand Planner | Craft Liquor Merchants | Johannesburg

Craft Liquor Merchants is currently seeking a Demand Planner to join our team based in Johannesburg and drive our success to new heights. The coordinator will be responsible for leading opportunities to improve and align the supply chain network to be more responsive and agile to unknown variables, including demand forecast volatility and supplier constraints.
Responsibilities Include:

Manage the procurement process and the supply base efficiently and effectively.
Apply effective communication strategies to ensure supply chain alignment in other departments to coordinate inventory management activities.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, monitor supplier performance.
Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
Establish key performance indicators and alerts to ensure optimal inventory management operations.
Optimize logistics costs.
Lead exercises to identify key areas of opportunity.
Improve engagement with key stakeholders and establish communication channels between the cross-functional teams.
Monitor inventory levels and inventory movements, review inventory reports (quantity, product, stock on hand, exceptions, etc.).
Communicate with relevant parties regarding queries.

Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma or Degree in operations, supply chain, engineering or other relevant field.
3 years management experience in the fields of supply chain, logistics.
Knowledge of liquor legislation.
Knowledge of import legislation.
Financial management (beneficial).
