Requirements:
Qualification in Finance or related field5+ years proven experience in management, particularly within credit controlStrong knowledge of credit control procedures, including debtor insuranceSolid understanding of invoices, proof of delivery, and related documentationExcellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholdersInvestigative nature and attention to detail in reviewing documentation and addressing queriesKnowledge of factoring is an added advantageAbility to assess risks associated with clients/debtors and make informed decisionsResponsibilities:
Manage two teams (Credit Control and Verification) consisting of approximately 20 staff membersOversee communication and collaboration within the teams, ensuring smooth workflow and operationsMonitor monthly collections and scrutinize overdue accountsProvide guidance to teams on necessary actions for problematic accountsHandle queries and provide exceptional service to debtors and clientsCommunicate effectively with staff, management, clients, debtors, credit bureaus, and insurersReview and investigate invoices, proof of delivery, and other related documentationApprove annual and sick leave, and manage staff KPIs and assessmentsAssess and approve credit applicationsReview each client's debtor ledger with Credit Controllers, providing feedback and making decisions on required actions.Monitor and guide the workflow in both the verification and credit control departments.Assess risks associated with clients and debtors, and provide recommendations to managementHave knowledge of debtor insurance (e.g., Credit Guarantee, Coface) and factoring (preferred)
