Cost Controller

Job Purpose:

Overall business profitability analysis. Assist in daily reporting of production efficiencies, analyze sales profitability, and overall cost control in the business.

Qualification:

B Com Accounting plus Articles

Experience:

Minimum of 2 - 3 years relevant working experience
At least 2 – 3 years' experience in finance/administrative and/or similar ERP systems
Computer literate (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word – intermediate to advanced)

Responsibilities:

Reports:

Review expense reports to ensure that expenses are reasonable and appropriate.
Prepare reports for management regarding costs and expenses.
Conduct financial analysis and report on production.
Conduct product profit margin analysis (sales revenue vs. cost of sales, variable costs, and fixed costs).

Costs:

Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all costs are accurately tracked.
Conduct cost analysis to identify areas where costs can be reduced or eliminated.
Collect cost data from suppliers to track material costs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain the cost forecast.
Analyse and attribute variable and fixed costs to the respective cost accounts.

Stock admin, inventory, and account reconciliation:

Capture production transactions daily.
Participate in the annual physical inventory reconciliation and provide analysis and explanation for fluctuations in inventory balances.
Perform inventory and/or cost of sales account reconciliation.
