A company which is big on their staff and customers, providing a safe work environment focusing on personal growth and development is key!They are on the lookout for a Factory Accountant who is going to be responsible for the control and management of costs, preparation of reporting packs, completion, reconciliation, and submission of VAT returns to SARS & balance sheet reconciliations.Responsibilities:Control and Cost ManagementReviews all costs impacting the income statement, compares and analyses costs to budgets and forecasts.Preparation of monthly accruals, provisions, and journals.Ensures all expenses are captured in line with SOPs and within the control environment. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.Ensures the control environment is managed within cost and reporting, delegation of authority limits adhered to, and segregation of duties are managed.Preparation of Reporting PacksPrepares monthly reporting packs in line with month-end deadlines.Prepares and submits reporting requirements from HO and consolidations including Miras packs, volume reconciliations.Works closely with HO and shared services on all reporting requirements.Assists in the preparation of monthly management and BRM packs.Prepares and submits statutory reporting requirements.Submission of VAT ReturnsPrepares and reconciles monthly VAT returns and submits on SARS eFiling.Ensures customs VAT is reconciled and reported correctly in VAT submissions.Works closely with Mpact's tax department and resolves all queries and VAT audit requests.Updates One Source monthly and signs off with the tax department.Product Costing and Pricing UpdatesReview pricing from procurement, challenge and validate by comparisons and sense checks.Sense check and validate BOMs.Update and maintain fixed cost rates.Create costings, execute, manage errors, and validate.Manage daily costing requests.Produce PCEs for new and innovation packs.Update sales pricing in JDE, work closely with the sales team on the updating of sales pricing.Fully manage and lead the cost and control environment with regard to materials management.Provide weekly reconciliations of receipts, consumption, and wastage of Resin (Mass Balance / MUC reporting).Be the control lead and manage all stock counts ensuring all locations are fully counted each month.Work closely with the logistics and materials management teams on variance analysis.Minimum Requirements:BCOM / CIMA+5 years experience within FMCG/ManufacturingAbility to interact with people at Senior level
