Oversight responsibility in respect of the following: The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating every aspect of a project being done from the planning until completion of the project. Responsibilities of the Contracts manager will also include supervising the teams and sub-contractors used for each project to ensure optimal efficiency and high-quality service at all times. Other responsibilities also include assisting with ordering and obtaining supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance as needed, and managing employees. The Contracts Manager will also be required to have efficient Health and Safety training and understanding. Required minimum education/training Higher education in Construction management/ building studies, quantity surveying or related. Health and Safety Training (Imperative) Computer literate understanding of Microsoft Office (other programs advantageous) Industrial Relation skills (i.e. know how to handle staff effectively, discipline etc) Required minimum work experience Proven experience of at least 3 years working as a Contracts Manager / Supervisor or related management experience, especially in the Construction Industry. Experience in working with big teams Health and Safety Management experience Experience in interpreting engineering plans and drawings Scaffolding Erecting experience (advantageous) Working at Heights Experience (advantageous) Knowledge Knowledge of the Health and Safety Regulations Knowledge on how to interpret engineering plans and drawings Knowledge of contract conditions, risk management, and cost control Knowledge of insulation and metal cladding materials, and methods in the insulation industry Knowledge of machines and tools Scaffold erection/inspection knowledge Knowledge with working at heights
