What you'll do: As a Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing all commercial aspects of the business across the region. You will be responsible for leading negotiations, analysing contracts, identifying new business opportunities, overseeing the development of business intelligence tools, improving business processes, and managing financial performance. Your role will act as the link between sales, operations and finance ensuring that the company meets its financial and operational objectives. Lead all negotiations related to rates, terms and conditions with vendors, clients and suppliers. Analyse and assess all contracts and deals to ensure they are financially viable. Identify and pursue new business opportunities working alongside the sales team. Oversee the development and implementation of business intelligence tools to gather data across all business functions. Continually revise and improve existing business processes with a focus on efficiency, scalability and cost-effectiveness. Management of financial performance of the business by overseeing budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Commercial Manager position brings a wealth of experience in commercial logistics along with a broad understanding of bulk and breakbulk road logistics. You have proven your ability to develop and implement successful business strategies in previous roles. Your strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities make you an effective leader. You are proficient in financial forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis as well as Microsoft Office suite. A bachelor's degree in business, economics, logistics or a related field. Ten years' experience in a commercial logistics environment. Broad understanding of bulk and breakbulk road logistics. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies. Strong negotiation skills. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in financial forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis. Understanding of transport rates and negotiations. Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
