Commercial & Contracts Manager

An amazing opportunity exists for a seasoned Commercial and Contracts Manager who will serve as the legal compass for the Commercial Team. This pivotal role encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities from managing legal risks across project lifecycles to leading corporate legal initiatives. The ideal candidate will become the cornerstone of legal expertise, steering the company through intricate transactions and ensuring legal compliance at every turn.Key Performance Areas include the following:Spearhead the management of legal risks throughout project lifecycles.Prepare legal documents, liaise with corporate attorneys, and negotiate transactional documents.Engage with customers to facilitate contract management.Interpret, negotiate, and implement contracts for the division.Inform stakeholders of relevant legal changes.Assist with day-to-day legal issues.Oversee the implementation of changes pertaining to commercial law.Oversee the development and management of commercial contracts.Develop protocols for legal involvement in the contract management process.Advise on the legal aspects pertaining to tenders.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Manage the intellectual property portfolio for the division.Minimum Qualification and Core Competencies:A LLB qualification will be an added advantage.5 – 10 years' experience in a similar role.Experience working with project and operational contracts.PPP contractual experience will be an added advantage.Experience mitigating risk for a company.Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.Meticulous attention to detail.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionLegalIndustriesWholesale
