Catering Manager

Duties & ResponsibilitiesTake full responsibility and management of the unit.Work in a demanding environment.Set and manage service delivery standards.Lead, motivate, train, and develop a team of staff.Implement and maintain operational controls in line with budgetary requirements.Ensure quality of food preparation, presentation, and service meets Fedics standards by adhering to quality star grading standards as per grading checklist.Comply with all Fedics policies and procedures.Handle daily HR and IR issues, including training, development, and performance management.Analyze and anticipate client needs and potential complaints.Organize, prepare, and coordinate all functions.Manage all administration, finances, debtors, budgets, etc.Process Fedics paperwork and compile & understand weekly and monthly P&L.Build relationships with clients and customers on a daily basis (essential).Be able to work long hours and weekends if necessary.Stay updated on the latest food trends and best practices.Skills and CompetenciesStrong judgment and problem-solving skills.Excellent people skills.Strong interpersonal and communicative skills (verbal and written).Flexibility regarding working hours.Attention to detail.Client service-oriented.Understanding of business management principles.Fully computer literate.Excellent food skills.QualificationsMatric / Grade 12.Relevant Degree/Diploma or Certificate.Minimum of 3 years experience is advantageous.
