We are looking for a Business Development Manager in either Cape Town or Johannesburg to help drive ticketing growth by delivering new client prospects, closing sales deals, assisting in the operations such as gate access and helping to run our student brand ambassador network. The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter with great communication skills, willing to hunt down sales leads, help with their qualification, make good commercial decisions, close deals and support the wider business partnerships team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we enter the South African market and look to showcase FIXR's world-class tech to anyone and everyone requiring a ticketing and events management platform. The role will mainly be focused on sales and generating sustainable revenue, however due to the size of the business you will need to be an all-rounder, willing to take on ad-hoc projects and jump in when needed. This role is based in either our Cape Town or Johannesburg office and reports directly to the Managing Director: SA.
What you'll be responsible for:
Lead-sourcing and qualification across different verticals and event-typesHelping with client account administration, pitch preparation and demosAttending client meetings with members of the Partnerships teamNegotiating commercial terms with customersAbility to close dealsGenerate sustainable revenueProduct expert on the FIXR platformPlay a key role in the running and development of our student brand ambassador network, in conjunction with our wider marketing teamVisiting brand ambassadors at their respective universities and meeting clients they have introduced. Assisting with access controls at events that require this
Requirements
Ability to multi-task with excellent organisation and planning skillsEntrepreneurial mindset and ability to spot / create opportunitiesExcellent documentation and communication skillsGo-getting attitude - you're ambitious and believe you get out what you put inSelf-starters. You'll get trained and you are part of a team, but we're moving fast, and we need people who can think for themselvesFeel comfortable pitching to customers and closing dealsYou must have the right to work in South AfricaThis position can be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town
