Bookkeeper

Summary:  We are hiring a Client facing Bookkeeper  in the accounting practice environment, based in Paarl, Cape Town.
Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in bookkeeping, experience in an accounting firm, and comfortable on XERO.
Location:  Paarl, Western Cape Schedule:   Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:00  Set-up: In-house (full-time according to schedule above) & Contractor position available (Remote role, part-time, not restricted by the schedule or hours highlighted above) Salary :  Market related and commensurate with experience Requirements: 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience in accounting practice environment.
Proficiency in XERO accounting software and Excel.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Process payments on online banking.
Assist with Inventory management.
Prepare monthly management reports and cash flow.
Process payroll information and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Monitor and manage company expenses.
Collaborate with external accountants during audits and tax filings.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Complete ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by executives.
Executive Personal Assistant to support leadership team Fulfilling admin office duties.
