The successful candidate will carry out adult social care financial assessments to ascertain how much someone can contribute towards their care, gather financial details and expenditure, deal with queries in writing and over the phone, and liaise with several departments within the Local Authority and external agencies.
Advising the service user on what benefits they may be entitled to and if a deferred payment arrangement applies. Scrutinising the Mosaic system for information entered by the Social Worker is also required. It's a busy team, and officers need to adapt their day to deal with urgent/priority cases and take phone calls. Often queries will involve several departments, and liaison between all departments is needed. Experience in carrying out adult social care financial assessments is required.
