ROLE: Attendance and Welfare Officer
HOURS: 8am – 4.30pm – term time only role (39 weeks per year)
CONTRACT: Temp to Perm
SALARY: £140 – £160 per day – an actual salary of £28,000 – £32,000 once perm
START: Immediate – Please only apply if you do not have a formal notice period
LOCATION: Zone 1 Tower Hamlets location with District and Overground services nearby
As their Attendance and Welfare Officer, a role with a heavy focus on pastoral care, you will play a crucial part in ensuring students are present and supported in a way that will encourage them to access their learning.
You will oversee a process that focuses on the importance of boundaries and routines, with the need to be sensitive to the demands and backgrounds of students, their parents, and carers.
Working as an integral part of the pastoral team, this Attendance and Welfare Officer role needs someone capable of rigorous dedication to processes, but can maintain a calm, positive, flexible, and professional approach when dealing with complex and demanding circumstances. Having worked in a similar role in an educational setting with an understanding of the SIMS database is highly desirable.
