This position reports to
Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create the design of equipment, systems, or installations or modify the pre-engineered designs for assignments by applying standard design concepts. Each day, you will assist in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in design reviews and design verification and modifying the design as necessary. The work model for the role is: Office based. This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Longmeadow. You will be mainly accountable for:

Assists in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification.
Participates in design reviews and design verification and modifies design as necessary.
Supports in preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet the contractual obligations, while adhering to safety and quality.
Participates in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes.
Learns from best practices / Lessons-Learned documentation.
Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one's area of responsibility.
Supports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one's projects.
Ensures Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations.
Follows work plans and cost estimates provided by the Project Manager and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.
Collaborates with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual requirements.
Coordinates with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged and tested.
Updates the engineering deliverables as built.
Coordinates with Commissioning / Service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract).
Updates the engineering deliverables post installation & commissioning (if applicable).

Qualifications for the role

Must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Switchgear design background.
Strong E-Plan and SAP background, strong technical ability and engineering principles.
