Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for Morae's legal department.
Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues, particularly in contracting and compliance to ensure the company's activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures and risk management initiatives, in consultation with internal stakeholders.
Conduct legal research on various issues, including regulatory changes and their implications for the company.
Assist in resolving labor-related disputes and support HR with employment law queries.
Liaise with internal and external legal counsel as needed on specialized matters.
Key Requirements and qualifications
LLB or equivalent degree from a recognized institution, admitted to practice law in South Africa.
2-4 years of experience in a legal role, with a strong focus on contracting and commercial law.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Experience in South African compliance and labor laws will be highly beneficial.
