We are focused on growing fundraising efforts; doubling the number of newly engaged alumni; achieving Advancement goals through the foundational integration of Alumni Relations and Development both centrally and through collaborations with divisional colleagues; creating an organization and culture that fosters diversity and inclusiveness.Position Summary:The Prospect Management team within Division of University Advancement guides the management and analysis of prospect portfolios of individual gift officers to support strong divisional and university-wide pipeline and ensuring there are tools to evaluate progress for specific programs and with individual prospects.Under general direction, the Associate Director, Prospect Management contributes to the successful development of a stronger pipeline for the University of Toronto's fundraising priorities and the institutional campaign and the success of yearly strategy initiatives and planning to mitigate delays. The Associate Director leads a team of professionals ensuring quality data, analysis, and actionable insights of prospect portfolios and the continuous improvement, growth, and management of the donor pipeline. The Associate Director ensures the delivery of quality data by ensuring the effective use of data analytics, overseeing the development and deployment of a suite of reports, ensuring continuous process development and refinement that drives efficiency and developing and managing policies and procedures for prospect management. The Associate Director works in a complex environment that requires a high degree of sensitivity, responsiveness, and a need to maintain absolute confidentiality. Qualification Required:Education: University degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience:Minimum seven (7) years' experience in prospect management or a related field, preferably within higher education or nonprofit environment.Experience managing the complete prospect life cycle, prospect identification & research methods, prospect management principles and support of a successful campaign.Experience adapting and customizing prospect strategy management, tracking and reporting for various prospect segments(annual gift, major gift, and principal gift prospects).Experience working with Blackbaud CRM or Raiser's Edge. Experience with creating and customizing reports to support major fundraising activities. Experience conceiving, developing and implementing successful strategies for operational efficiency and change management. Project Management Experience and experience initiating and implementing projects with teams and independently. Experience evaluating complex issues, identifying appropriate solutions. Proven leadership experience supervising in a team setting.Skills:Proven analytical skills and proficiency utilizing data analysis tools, fundraising databases, interpreting, and evaluating hard and soft wealth indicators in a philanthropic context.Experience developing and utilizing data analytics and predictive models in support of prospect management and to facilitate continuous improvement and innovation.Other:Excellent planning skills and experience with the ability to identify, clarify and articulate project purpose, goals, and outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
