Role The purpose of this position is to represent the CMA-CGM Group in Namibia, to promote its image and interests and to develop and grow the Line's business activities. He/she will focus on Sales and Customer service activities and represent the Group towards local authorities and institutions. He/she acts as local relay for the Cluster Functional Managers if required.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the Company's commercial and financial annual budget, in collaboration with the Cluster MD, CFO and other peers, and be responsible for its execution.Lead the commercial activity to achieve targets agreed with the Lines and the Regional office (RO).Define the performance target of the commercial team and evaluate it.Develop and maintain direct contact with key decision makers within the existing and potential customer portfolio.Monitor the market and suggest solutions to develop business opportunities.Identify potential Group investment opportunities.Communicate key information regarding business opportunities to Cluster General Manager, HO and RO.Represent the Group towards local authorities, government bodies and inform the Cluster GM and Cluster Functional Managers regarding any regulatory change that could impact the Group activities and/or processes.Support the implementation of the Cluster organisation in the Daughter Agency.Be a local relay for the Cluster Functional Managers in case of dysfunction.Manage local workforce in compliance with local labour & social regulations as well as Group HR policy.Accountable for the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations for his/her scope of responsibility.Duly communicate and coordinate with Cluster General Manager to report any fraud suspicion to the relevant HO Departments.Skills and Qualifications 5 years+ experience in a senior management position.Excellent business development acumen with proven record of sales management success.Sales work experience in freight industry/Supply Chain Management across several industry sectors, with solid operational knowledge.Tertiary qualification in a related field.Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.Knowledge of domestic and international regulatory compliance laws.Proficient in business development methodologies with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans.
