Accountant - Agricultural Equipment DepartmentAn Agritalent client, a leading agribusiness, seeks an Accountant for its Agricultural Equipment Department.Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinancial and operational reporting and monitoring:Ensure, analyse and interpret accurate and timely financial and management reports.Implementing, monitoring and reporting on projects.Ensure detailed analysis of obsolete stock.Continuous maintenance of SAP reporting.Ensure proper reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and manage balance sheet items/ratios.Analyse target and productivity monitoring.Calculate and execute commission reports.Liaison with external auditors and compiling Audit Committee report.Analyze and monitor financial information and key business drivers.Manage balance sheet:Ensure capital expenditure is within the approved budget and delegation of authority.Evaluate economical viability of stock procurement procedures.Evaluate and advise on inventory and obsolete stock levels.Monitor and control of outstanding debtors.Ensure timeous communication with legal advisors regarding outstanding debtors.Review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.Reconciliation between SAP and Equipment.Ensure accurate system integration of financial information.Optimisation of system, processes and procedures:Review and ensure applicable systems, processes and procedures.Recommend/development, test and implementation of changes in the system, processes and procedures.Implementation of Internal Auditors and Operating Controllers recommendations.Evaluate relevance of Operating Controllers control measures.Prepare budgets.Desired Experience & QualificationBCom degree in accounting (candidates with an Honours degree will receive preference).Qualified CA or a candidate with SAICA articles.At least 2 years relevant experience.Candidates with SAP knowledge will receive preference.Be able to plan, prioritise and organize.
