2X Project Manager (3 Months)

Our client, an entity that manages and operates passenger rail services in South Africa, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee their IT/ICT projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, meet business goals, and adhere to the ICT Project Management Framework.Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying resources neededProject Monitoring and Control throughout the project lifecycleEnsure alignment of Project Execution to the Project Management FrameworkDeveloping and managing the Project Schedule to track project progress, risks associated with timelines, task dependencies, and scopeGuiding and performing strategic analysis for the projectOrganising and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.Assembling and coordinating project team members and assigning individual responsibilitiesRegular project progress and status reportingPreparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products.Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communicationsProject Stakeholder Management and relationsProactive escalation of matters that require Executive or Senior Management interventionRequirements5+ years of experience in Project Management in IT/ICTExperience in use case development and test case development.Experience facilitating workshops with technical and non-technical resources to document functional and nonfunctional solution requirements.Management, organisational and people skillsStrong leadership skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAssertive and confidentStrong Stakeholder Relationship ManagementWorking knowledge of MS ProjectMinimum – Matric / Grade 12Minimum 3-year post matric tertiary qualification (Degree/Diploma)Project Management qualification (Prince 2 / PMBOK certification in Project Management)Post-graduate, PMP and/or Agile certification would be an added advantageBenefitsContracted for a minimum of 3 months and renewable up to the maximum of 12 months (contract term).Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionBusiness Consulting and Services
