Youth Support Worker

CHILDREN SUPPORT WORKER FOR RESIDENTIAL HOME IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

If you are a Social Worker, Children Support worker or a teacher and have worked and support children between 11 and 18, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Sponsorship tier 2 is available. This position is open for South African Passport holders and/or anybody that can work in the UK.
Your tasks will be:
- Using life skills, you will assist with the care of children and young people, including practical aspects such as cooking and cleaning
- Take part in a range of interesting recreational events
- Building positive relationships with children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them
- Consistency and organization skills. Create timetables, setting boundaries and expectations
- Support the children with emotional and behavior difficulties and challenging behavior's using therapeutic approach.
Requirements:
- UK or International driving license
- Must be willing to relocate to the UK
- 1 years' experience working with children or young people in supporting setting
- Degree in Teaching, Social work will be an advantage but not requirement
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Child Care or willing to work towards qualification
- Good level of English and IELT English tests required
- Police clearance (DBS checks- including children barred in the UK)
- Credit checks
- Compassionate and reflective
- Must have a passion to work with children
- Can remain calm and professional when a young person is in a crisis
- Able to work shifts
