Promoting a customer service orientated business internal and external, to implement and uphold actions in line with company strategic vision and to operate the Material Handling Workshop profitably according to set targets.ProfileKey Performance Areas:To perform this job successfully, the appointed individual must be able to perform each essential duty / key performance area satisfactorily. This list of key performance areas is not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time:Overall responsibility to manage Material Handling Workshop Department (bi-annual performance appraisals per staff member, payroll information to be compiled and submitted timeously, monthly departmental meetings, achieving employee morale survey target, managing leave and absenteeism, implementing and driving ISO and ASEC Standards in line with company strategic objectives, ensure effective interdepartmental and internal communication).Sound management of Material Handling workshop in line with Budget and company strategic objectives (Work in progress, work scheduling, quality of work, quote accuracy, profitability of service and workshops department).Overall responsibility to ensure quality customer service of the Material Handling workshop, to ensure optimum response time and professional service at all times (through Technician evaluation and training needs).Ensure regular feedback to the department staff keeping everyone up to date with Company news, market trends and other relevant information.Assist with resolution of debtor's disputes and assist with cash collections.Overall responsibility to meet growth / market share increase objectives; responsible to analyze, prepare and successfully implement strategy to target and convert new business accounts, cold calling on potential new clients.Overall responsibility to ensure administrative procedures are followed correctly; responsible to ensure administrative duties are performed accurately and timeously; maintenance of customer records, quote register, etc.Preparation and presentation of reports when required.Promote and maintain good housekeeping best practices.
