Workshop/Service Manager - Pump Industry - Gauteng

Reference: TS000020-JL-2A well-established industrial pumps company based in Johannesburg North, supplying technically advanced products for a variety of industries and applications, is seeking a Workshop/Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMinimum requirements for the role:Minimum Matric with an applicable Trade Certificate.Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Workshop/Service Manager.Good technical knowledge of pumps, welding, repairs, baseplate assembly, etc.Previous experience managing a team with strong leadership skills.Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.AutoCAD would be an advantage.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently.Strong administrative and organizational skills.Valid driver's licence.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing the daily maintenance of the workshop and office.Managing staff.Ordering workshop consumables and job equipment.Designing base plates for new quotations.Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and keeping all certificates up to date.Maintaining vehicles with scheduled services.Training staff on building pump sets.Liaising with sales staff regarding pump builds.Keeping a build register for QCP documents (new builds, repairs).Placing orders with suppliers.Assisting branches with drawings and quotations on baseplates.Performing quality control.Handling site commissioning and repair work.Ensuring workshops at other branches are running up to set standards.Opening the workshop in the morning.Monitoring drivers and stores staff.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.Should you not hear from us within 2 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
