Workshop Mechanic

Workshop Mechanic required for a reputable company based in East London, Eastern Cape Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. 2 yrs. proficiency working as a Mechanic Thorough understanding for mechanical operations of engines, electrical systems and hydraulics Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment. Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses Responsibilities: Ensure safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on engines, motors, and tools following operations manuals and manufacturer's instructions; adjusting reels and back lap reels. Responsible for general, detailed and specific inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and service of all company vehicles and equipment Follow preventive maintenance program Maintain service log on all equipment Keep a clean and safe work area Display a good work attitude at all times Oversee workshop area maintenance by ensuring that workshop remains clean and orderly; tools are kept clean and in proper working condition Maintain adequate inventory levels of parts and supplies including fuel and oil levels Should you wish to apply please email your CV through to Kerry O'Hagan at
