Confectioner required for a renowned retail store based in Mthatha Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Prepare, cook, and assemble a variety of confections, including chocolates, candies, truffles, and pastries.Follow recipes and techniques to ensure consistent quality and presentation of products.Experiment with new recipes and techniques to develop unique and exciting confections.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, and assist with ordering as needed.Collaborate with the team to design and create seasonal and custom confectionery items.Provide excellent customer service, including handling special requests and custom orders.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Confectioner, Pastry Chef, or in a similar role with a strong understanding of confectionery techniques and practices.Knowledge of candy and chocolate-making processes, as well as decorating and presentation skills.Creative flair and a passion for developing new and exciting confectionery products.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
