Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a Workshop Truck Driver to join their team.Minimum requirements:MatricCode 14 License and PDPMinimum 5years experience in similar role.Read, Write and speak English.Know how to use GPS (EX, Google, Maps/Wase)Duties:Correct Vehicle Collection and Delivery ProcessFully understand the companies policies and procedures regarding the process of vehicle collectionand deliveryTimeous collection and deliveries to and from body builders.Identify defects before the vehicle is delivered to the customer.Prepare the vehicle for delivery, such has correct toolkits, floor mats and additional customer kits and when issued by management.Adhere to the companies policies in terms of overtime, cash slip control and fuel dispensing,including others such as travelling allowances.Obey the rules of the road, all traffic fines will be routed to the offender.Be courteous and timeous.Well dressed and well presented with customer and his team of drivers.Be diligent and focused on up-selling the vehicle.Properly assist with the vehicle hand-over.
Ensure that the vehicle is properly prepared for hand-overto customer.Go through the vehicle, check for lubricant and water levels.
Check for oil leaks, defective cab and body work.
Check both can internal and external for proper functionality.
Report to the salesman, manager on any of the above items which are incorrect.Properly assess the customers drivers and report without any bias.The Driver Training ResponsibilityClearly understand and use the skills available to properly access the customer vehicles using the following criteria:o Traffic regulations.o Correct use of transmission - transmission control.o Use of side mirrors, and driver alertness.o Daily vehicle checking procedures.o Guide the customers driver with proper overall driving technique.o Obey the rules of the road, all traffic fines will be routed to the offender.o Promote proper, and SAFETY FIRST driving habits.Adding Value to the Customer Care Value ChainPromote the vehicle brand to all that you meet.Promote the company as reliable and durable.Assist with technical issues which are related to truck tractor hooking and off-hooking.Customer CareEnsure high levels of communication and feedback to the workshop foreman ensuring the customer is relayed relevant and concise information.Ensure that the type of feedback to the workshop foreman is relevant and correct.Continue to promote the company as a trustworthy and reliable brand.Please note that only experienced candidates will be considered and contacted if you are not contact within 14 working days kindly regard your application as unsuccessful.
