What is the role about?
The Workday Project Cutover Manager is responsible for leading initiatives and managing communications among all vested stakeholders. You will collaborate with functional end users, functional SMEs, department leaders, IT, vendors, and to successfully deliver projects within the Workday ecosystem for VR Clients. The Project Cutover Manager is expected to adhere to standard project management methodology and best practice with a keen understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC). Only candidates with previous HR IT implementation experience will be considered. Experience leading Workday implementation projects will be given preference.
Project Cutover Management:
Define, develop and implement cutover plans for Workday projects to support harmonization of migration and integration with existing systems.
Plan, design, and develop new and innovative cutover strategies to meet project needs.
Implement best practice processes, and drive continuous improvement for repeatable successful cutover delivery.
Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management.
Lead and connect all parties involved in the cutover activities including business managers, project managers and project teams, to ensure the creation of integrated solutions and plans that meet organizational guidelines and priorities.
Manage multiple projects and/or test cycles simultaneously and keep them on track.
Ensure all program, project and test activities comply with the standards and procedures of Workday and Workday clients.
What skills are we looking for?
Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis.
To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR/business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.
Skills and Experience Required:
Previous HR/IT project or test management experience is a must.
Previous Workday experience.
Project management certification.
Experience in Agile and waterfall methodologies.
Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere, as long as you are authorised to work without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
