High Site Wireless Network TechnicianPlettenberg Bay, WCMarket Related Salary We are currently seeking a Wireless Network Technician based in Plett. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of their wireless internet network infrastructure. Your technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment to delivering top-tier internet services will be put to work. As a High Site Wireless Network Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment at elevated sites, ensuring optimal performance, and contributing to the growth and improvement of their wireless network. RequirementsMatric Certification and valid driver's licenseNetworking or telecommunications certificationValid Fall Arrest Certification (Working at Heights)Experience in Solar installations and repairs would be an added benefitExperience in wireless networking equipment installation and maintenanceProficiency in configuring and troubleshooting wireless equipmentUnderstanding of RF principles, signal propagation, and wireless communication protocolsComfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditionsKnowledge of safety protocols for elevated workStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication and teamwork skills Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and maintain wireless network equipment at elevated locations.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.Replace or repair faulty hardware components as needed.Configure and optimize wireless radios, antennas, routers, and switches.Align and calibrate equipment for optimal signal strength and coverage.Resolve network issues, including interference and connectivity problems.Follow safety protocols for working at heights, prioritizing team and personal safety.Comply with industry regulations related to wireless communications.Keep accurate records of site visits, installations, and maintenance.Generate reports on site conditions, equipment status, and network performance.Coordinate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) and other teams to address network outages.Assist in high site expansions and upgrades in collaboration with the Level 2 team.Diagnose and resolve customer connectivity issues related to high site equipment.Provide technical support and answer customer questions.The post Wireless Networking Technician (High Site) appeared first on freerecruit.co.za.
