TASKS• Weld relevant assemblies to metal expansion joint bellow elements. • Weld / fabricate pipe, flanges, and other components for metal expansion joints. • Follow quality processes as required relating to materials, handling, processes, and records. • Candidate must be able to read drawings, setup workpieces and execute x-ray quality welds. • Work within MEJ team to finalize complete assembly metal expansion joint as required to the correct quality and legal compliance. • Must be able to work independently and diligently to achieve targets. • Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and alloy's ranging in thickness from 0.5mm up to 40mm. • Measure and verify work components to comply with drawings and other specifications. • Assist with other functions including cleaning, painting, testing, and packaging of metal expansion joints if required. • Candidate must have experience of multi-positional welding. • Assist other operational departments from time to time • Work as part of a team within the MEJ Manufacturing department. • Candidate will also be responsible for accuracy and quality control, ensuring they reduce the risk of costly re-work. • At all times adhere to the EagleBurgmann and Freudenberg rules, policies and procedures regarding Health, Safety, and the protection of the Environment. • Reasonable and lawful requests by your line manager are to be adhered to even if falling outside the scope of this job specification.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & OTHER QUALITIES: • Matric / NQF4 • Welder Qualification (Red Seal) Pressure equipment TIG / SMAW / GMAW • 5 years manufacturing experience in the engineering field / Pressure equipment manufacturing. • Advanced MEJ Manufacturing processes • Good communication skills • Assertiveness • Time management skills • Analytical skills • Multi-tasking skills • Work well under pressure • Negotiation skills • Can work independently • Team player • Extra working hours will be required from time to time Interested applicants who meet the criteria should submit their CV to nolubab
