Whim Hospitality is seeking a passionate bartender with craft cocktail experience for its exciting restaurant concept at their Camp Lucy Resort location.
Qualified applicants will: Have 2+ years bartending in a similar settingBe knowledgeable enough to create custom cocktails based on guest requestsBe capable of working Wednesday through SundayHave hospitality as your top priorityThis person should not only bring their talent but also their excitement to create an amazing holistic experience to everyone that walks through the doors. You will be a part of concepting all Front of House operations that will bring people from near and far to dine in the highly stylized restaurant space fashioned out of a 19th century Vietnamese town hall with inspirations from around the world. Food style is Modern / New American. This will be an exciting move for anyone and the beginning of many more opportunities to come within the resort. Job Description: Support the team that manages all things that pertain to the overall guest experiencePrepare alcoholic, nonalcoholic beverages, serving food and providing an excellent service experienceResponsible for professional behavior, charismatic and positive energy that drives conversation and salesSuccessfully greet guests, learn and remember their preferences, answer questions, and offer recommendationsUpsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning dutiesFollow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails and other juices and drinks used at the barMaintain a clean and organized section as well as collaborate with other bartenders to: wash glassware and utensils after each use, clean up after guests and clean work areaEducate guests and members about beverage options from in-house learning and developmentDiscuss and describe daily specials, seasonal menu items and food pairing options to increase sales and promote a unique and memorable dining experienceCollect payment on all sold itemsCheck identification of guests to ensure they meet the age requirements for the purchase of alcohol products and determine when the guest has had too much alcoholArrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays that promote specific beverage options and can lead to an increase in sales and a better guest experience.Support Camp Lucy programming and special events, as needed.Job Requirements: 1+ years experience in hotel, hospitality or related guest-facing position2+ years experience as a bartenderYou should be efficient, observant, and knowledgeable with a passion for craft cocktails, and spiritsAbility to manage a high volume of requests with competing deadlinesComfortable serving in a heavy customer-facing role for all types of clienteleExceptional attention to detailPassionate about providing stellar customer service and hospitalityHighly organized and dependable, approachable, and empatheticComfortable working in outdoor settings for extended periodsTABC certifiedFull-time and part-time opportunities availableMust be available to work variable shifts on both weekdays and weekendsMust be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hoursMust be willing to work in an outdoor setting, including all-weather conditions (rain, wind, heat, etc.)Ability to regularly lift up to 25lbsCompensation & Benefits: Hourly Wage: $13.00 per hour plus tipsPaid Time OffHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance for full-time employeesCompany DiscountsLucrative referral bonus
