Expert experience m Procurement and Supply Chain Expert experience in contract management, preferably energy utility or simIlar environment Job MissIon Provide functional strategic leadership and overseeing and directing the execution of Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SCM) Management strategies and operations, In accordance with relevant policies, programmes, processes, standards and procedures, and In alignment with the overall Head Office P&SCM strategies Key Performance Areas (summary of functional outputs) 1 Lead, direct and provide strategic direction and alignment to ensure attainment of Procurement & Supply Chain Management strategic objectives 2 Direct and oversee Demand Management and OptImIsatIon Functions for P&SCM In the division 3 Lead, direct and oversee strategies for all Acquisition/Procurement (including Strategic, Project and Tactical Sourcing) functions In the dIvIsIon 4 Direct and lead strategies to enhance LogIstIcs, Disposal and Supply Chain Management functions 5 Direct and oversee the Governance and Compliance processes 6 Directing resources management (not management of resources) for the P&SCM function Key Customer/s: 1 Group Executives Generation/Transmission/Distribution 2 Chief Procurement Officer 3 Group Chief Executive 4 DIvIsIonal Board of Directors 5 National Treasury, Department of Public Enterprises 6 Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Science and Technology Senior Manager Procurement Overview The Senior Manager Procurement is responsible for providing strategic leadership in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (P&SCM) to align with the client's overall objectives. This role involves directing and executing P&SCM strategies, managing demand optimization, and overseeing procurement functions, including strategic, project, and tactical sourcing. The Senior Manager will also enhance logistics, compliance, and governance processes while managing resources effectively. Key Responsibilities: Lead and align P&SCM strategies to achieve organizational goals. Direct demand management and optimization functions. Oversee sourcing strategies and procurement operations. Enhance logistics, disposal, and supply chain management functions. Ensure governance and compliance within procurement processes. Manage P&SCM budgets and promote talent development. Qualifications: Honours Degree in Commerce, Law, or Engineering. Minimum 10 years of expertise in procurement and supply chain management. Professional registration (e.g., MCIPS) is preferred. The role demands strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement.
