Permanent, Hybrid A leading telecoms company in Manchester is seeking a proactive and experienced Wayleaves Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the charge in securing Wayleaves and necessary consents, ensuring minimal disruption from Wayleave constraints. Your efforts will support our corporate goal of providing fast and reliable fibre to everyone.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, negotiate, and complete Wayleave agreements and other consents related to FTTP Fibre/Civils/Telecommunications installations.Utilise Land Registry, planning authority, utility company websites, and other sources to establish land or property ownership and assess route feasibility.Manage the payment of compensation, professional fees, and other costs associated with Wayleave acquisition.Collaborate closely with the survey team to request and schedule surveys.Maintain strong relationships with landowners, agents, government departments, and other external bodies to facilitate negotiations.Highlight priority Wayleaves impacting team deliverables, submit applications to utility companies, and provide weekly status reports on ongoing tasks.Work closely with internal colleagues and external consultants to streamline processes.Minimum Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Wayleave experience within any of the telecoms/utilities/legal sectors.Familiarity with relevant legislation, including The Electronic Communications Code, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS systems.Strong communication, influencing, and relationship management skills. The ability to read and understand network designs is essential.Tenacious, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
