Water Design Engineer

Project leader/task leader for consulting engineering in water and sanitation projects Planning, design, tender, and construction monitoring Manage and perform design work as required Prepare and review technical design & documentation of projects involving the conveyance and treatment of both water and wastewater and associated technologies (e.g., water distribution, pump stations, pipelines, and treatment plants) Resolve technical issues on large, multidisciplinary, multi-contract bulk water projects Prepare and review technical contract documents Plan and monitor progress of projects Programme work and set productivity targets in discussion with the Project Manager Manage project administration Prepare project reports, specifications, minutes, and correspondence Prepare time/cost estimates for clients on projects Obtain and confirm acceptance of appointments in writing Skills & Experience: Minimum 15 - 20 years of relevant experience Extensive experience in Bulk Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Design (pre-requisite) Proficiency with Civil Designer, Civil3D, and AutoCAD Experience working on both greenfield and brownfield projects Familiarity with GCC2015, SABS1200, and COLTO standards Skilled in preparing reports and presentations Qualification: BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering ONLY Registered as a Professional with ECSA Professionally registered with SCAPCMP advantageous Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
