As the Technical Application Engineer you are responsible for customer training in an industrial environment, using state-of-the-art CNC equipment. You will increase Machine Tool sales through both quality customer service and new customer outreach. You will be visiting sites that include industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, R&D facilities, technical schools, facilities of all sizes small to large. Other duties include but are not limited to: Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, and part processing recommendations.Making accurate cost estimates and interpreting drawings and specifications.Programming and setting of CNC lathes and CNC vertical or horizontal mills.Developing/implementing custom demonstrations and training of customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers and lathes.Possessing and maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company.Strong hands-on machining background with at least 5 years of experience with CNC machines with a qualification Tool and Die maker or Fitter and Turner Solid working knowledge of CAD/CAM software necessary Frequent travel throughout our regional territory; some overnight travel required Basic Skills with Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
