Waste Transfer Station Manager - Ascot - £50K per annumMy client is seeking an experienced Waste Transfer Station Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for the overall management of the team and the operations at the client's largest site in Ascot. You will be: Responsible for safe and efficient running of waste management and recycling within the waste transfer station Controlling production input and output, ensuring processes run smoothly and managing expectations (outputs include crushed concrete/brick, soil, etc) Responsible for onsite health & safety monitoring and ensuring compliance with legislation Controlling budgets and attending meetings Interacting with clients to assist with the resolution of customer concerns Working to improve site layout and operations Producing reports to Manager as required Sampling/analysis of waste where required Writing and implementing operational policies to provide continuous improvement Managing and developing the team Building strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business. Understand customer requirements and find suitable solutions to meet those needs Providing support with any other ad hoc duties as requiredThe ideal candidate will: Have current qualifications/knowledge in WAMITAB, IOSH, Machine Tickets, DVLC Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Have a strong commercial understanding of waste recycling Have knowledge of relevant health and safety policies and procedures Be self-motivated as well as a good motivator Have confident and effective people management skills Be open to and encourage change Be proactive and constructive in problem solving and conflict management Be approachable and professional Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Possess excellent organisational skills, meeting deadlines, planning and prioritising workloads Be able to demonstrate understanding and works to exceed customer expectationsBenefits include 20 days holiday, increasing up to 25 days after 2 full years of service, company pension, and parking on site.
