Job Title: Warehouse Project SpecialistLocation: Clayville, Midrand
Key Purpose Statement: We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Project Specialist to spearhead the implementation of the logistics warehouse strategy.
This role is pivotal in ensuring operational requirements are met through effective project management and strategic initiatives.
Key Outputs and Accountabilities: Project Execution: Lead the implementation of key strategic warehouse projects, ensuring alignment with operational goals.Track and monitor performance and productivity, identifying gaps and developing actionable solutions.Optimize operational efficiency by identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.Standardize processes and update operational cookbooks to reflect best practices.System and Process Improvement: Support the enhancement of systems, processes, resourcing, and capability.Engage with regional teams to facilitate the successful implementation of initiatives.Assist in problem-solving to boost operational effectiveness and share best practices across the supply chain.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including functional heads and executive leadership, to drive project success.Ensure benefits and value capture from projects and initiatives are maximized.Judgement and Decision Making: Make decisions within the scope of projects and defined budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Transport, or a related field.10 years experience in a logistics and warehousing environment plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in similar role.Project Management qualification.Experience with MS Dynamics. Competencies: Knowledge: In-depth understanding of logistics strategy, warehouse management, distribution, fleet management, and relevant KPIs.Proficiency in just-in-time principles and execution planning. Skills: Application of logistics and project management knowledge to drive results. Attributes/Attitudes: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent decision-making and communication skills.High level of self-discipline, organization, and ownership of operational areas.Capability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high customer orientation.Effective conflict management skills and a self-starter with high energy.
