Parallel you will take responsibility  for team performance and KPI management as a people manager with 12 direct reports.
Our new Warehouse Manager role is based in our Johannesburg, South Africa site and is an onsite position.
Responsibilities/Description Plans, organizes, and monitors the following: shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities to ensure the most efficient utilization of employees and equipment.
Responsible for guiding and supporting shipping and receiving activities to support the goal of having the right product, in the right place, at the right time, at the right quality level, at the lowest possible cost.
Promote proper storage/delivery of product by supervising activities of warehouse personnel engaged in shipping of finished product from production to either the appropriate warehouse or the customer.
Includes accurately preparing necessary documentation (bills of lading, customer code numbers, labels, etc.)
Apply knowledge pertaining to the chemical/physical characteristics of all inbound materials, to plan and direct all receiving, storage and transfer activities to maximize storage space utilization.
Ensure accurate receipt of goods through receiving, documenting and appropriate disposition of raw materials, packaging, supplies, etc.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventories of finished product and intermediates by conducting periodic counts and recording or inputting data/computer transactions in a timely manner.
Must be able to develop and implement corrective action for any inventory variances.
Develop an understanding of the shipping, storage, and handling requirements for all major product groups to plan/coordinate FG shipments.
This includes both inter-company shipments as well as customer shipments.
This also includes responsibility for ensuring that FIFO policies are satisfied.
Using our automated inventory management system, ensure that all physical movement and usage of raw materials, packaging and finished goods are accurately documented, and computer processed.
Promote customer service objectives by ensuring proper coordination between order entry, transportation, and warehouse schedules and activities to meet customer delivery dates and locations.
Utilize computer system capabilities to plan for customer orders, pull appropriate reports and pick lists, and support all customer specifications.
Review the performance of oFlow for on time delivery and proper reason codes.
Monitor and conduct MBR's and activities at 3PL's.
Review monthly inventory and value of stock.
Review monthly for accuracy and submit invoices on a timely manner.
Develop annual budget of expenses and establish cost controls to manage expenses within established guidelines.
Track warehouse performance/productivity and issue reports as requested.
Monitor SFDC for complaints.
Ensure root cause and correctives actions on complaints are satisfactory to prevent further issues.
Look for complaint trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements Associate's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain 4-5 years of experience with shipping and receiving in a manufacturing, distribution or continuous processing environment.
Project management experience Experience with or ability to learn an automated inventory management system Experience in direct people management Experience in budget setting/budget management Knowledge of Warehouse Procedures in a food or pharma environment Knowledge of transportation (types, carriers, rules, incoterms).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) Excellent planning skills Fluent business English communication skills Proficient SAP skills across full supply functional horizon.
Ability to operate in a warehouse environment and storage facility 100% of the time Environmental conditions include exposure to hand and mechanical tools and machinery.
Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task Ability to handle high-pressure situations Ability to manage diverse stakeholders in a multi-functional environment Comfortable with details Training / Certifications SAP WMS function training Sales Force (SFDC) training Oflow training   Store Keeping/Procurement  jobs
