Reporting to the Regional ManagerPurpose Of The JobTo ensure smooth sales operation and satisfactory customer service to all our customers (internal and external).Operational EfficiencyMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY RESULTS AREASAchieve and maintain high levels of operational efficiency in warehouse management and distribution processes.Optimize workflow to minimize downtime and increase throughput.Measure how efficiently the warehouse space is being used.Inventory ManagementEnsuring accurate stock levels and efficient inventory turnover as well as sufficient stockholding.Minimize discrepancies through effective management and auditing processes.Compare the actual physical stock with the recorded stock levels.Order FulfilmentManaging the picking, packing, and shipping processes.Achieve high levels of on-time and accurate order fulfilment, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.Measure the percentage of orders fulfilled correctly without errors.Measure the time taken from receiving an order to its delivery.Track the percentage of orders delivered within the promised timeframe in full.Safety And ComplianceMaintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.Ensure that housekeeping principles are always adhered to.Adhere to SOPs and processes.Reporting And AnalysisPrepare and present regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and distribution performance.Analyse operational data to identify trends and areas of improvement.Adhere to SOPs and processes.Cost ManagementContribute to the budget preparation process.Control operation costs and optimize resource utilization.Scrap Battery ManagementEffectively manage the collection and processing of scrap product, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.Staff ManagementRecruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, including setting performance expectations and providing ongoing support.Foster a productive work environment with well-trained and motivated staff, and promote teamwork.Oversee staff performance, discipline, training, and development.
