Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a VMWare Engineer to join their team in Cape town or Johannesburg offices (Hybrid) on a contract basis.We require an individual with a VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) qualification and extensive on-the-job experience in VMware technologiesKey Responsibilities:Design and implement VMWARE infrastructure for clientsMonitor and maintain VMWARE environment to ensure optimal performance and availability Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMWARE infrastructureWork closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide technical recommendationsCollaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of VMWARE infrastructure with other systemsStay updated with the latest VMWARE technologies and make recommendations for improvementsDevelop and maintain documentation related to VMWARE infrastructure and processes Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field7 years of experience as a VMWARE Engineer or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of VMWARE virtualization technologies and productsA VCAP certification.Proven experience in managing and optimizing large and complex VMware environments.Experience with VMWARE vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi - Knowledge of server hardware and storage technologies
