VMware vSphere Design and Implementation:Architect and implement VMware vSphere environments to meet business and technical requirements.Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualised environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.Perform regular updates and maintenance of VMware components, ensuring that the environment remains secure and operationalVMware Site Recovery Manager Configuration:Implement and configure VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) for disaster recovery (DR) purposes.Design and execute DR plans to ensure seamless failover and recovery of critical systems during outages or failures.Test and document disaster recovery processes, ensuring business continuity in case of emergenciesDell Servers and Storage Solutions Implementation:Design, implement, and manage Dell servers, storage solutions, and SAN infrastructure in accordance with best practices.Ensure proper setup and configuration of Dell storage systems, including PowerEdge servers, PowerVault, and other Dell hardware.Optimise server and storage configurations for performance and redundancy to meet organisational needs.Veeam Backup & Replication Setup and Configuration:Implement and configure Veeam Backup & Replication for data protection and recovery.Ensure proper setup of Veeam Cloud Connect for offsite backups and DR scenarios.Monitor backup performance and troubleshoot any issues to ensure data availability and protection.Perform regular tests of backup and restore processes to verify data integrity and system readiness for recoveryMonitoring and Troubleshooting:Monitor and manage the overall health of the VMware, Veeam, and Dell hardware environments.Identify and resolve system performance issues, performing root cause analysis when necessary.Provide first-level and escalation support for technical issues related to VMware, Veeam, and Dell hardware components.Educational Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Equivalent experience will be considered.Technical Certifications:VMware Certified Professional (VCP) in vSphere (required).Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) (required).Dell EMC Proven Professional Certification in servers, storage, or SAN (required).Certifications in VMware Site Recovery Manager and Veeam Cloud Connect are highly advantageousExperience:Minimum of 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere design, implementation, and management.Extensive experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including setup and configuration of Veeam Cloud Connect.Proven experience with Dell server and storage hardware, including SAN setup and configuration.Hands-on experience in configuring disaster recovery solutions using VMware SRM.Technical Skills:In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, SRM, and virtualised infrastructure solutions.Expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication and backup methodologies.Strong understanding of Dell server, storage, and SAN technologies.Ability to troubleshoot and optimise performance across hardware and virtualised environments.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document configurations and procedures.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, working both independently and in teams.
