Our client is a manufacturer of mechanical parts for the mining, construction and agricultural industries.
Job Description
You will be responsible for the following:

Run the planning, production and day to day operations.
Supervising the facility's daily operations.
Walking the workshop floor, and ensuring the correct parts are on the correct machines.
Liaise with production manager, maintenance manager and orders / deliveries manager.
Problem solving with maintenance manager on the shop floor.
Communicating with customers.
Ensure health and safety standards are being maintained.

Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma or Trade Test (Fitter and Turner) with managerial experience.
Skills
Minimum of 15 years experience, preferably in a machine shop (mills, lathes, etc.).
Must be able to read complex engineering drawings.
Proficient in the use of measuring equipment, and have exposure to metal machining (turning, milling, heat treatment).
Basic financial knowledge is beneficial.
Labour law knowledge.
Knowledge of ISO 9001.
