Who we are: We are a company operating within the financial services industry and have revolutionised the way wills and estates planning is done.What we do: We are a culture of true entrepreneurship, constantly tweaking and innovating to ensure we remain South Africa's #1 Wills and Estates specialists.What we are looking for: We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX and Digital Graphic Designer to join our team.What you will do:Conduct research to obtain information about user needs and behavioursVisualise designs by creating wireframes, user flows, mock-ups and prototypesConduct usability testing to iterate designs and A/B testing to evaluate user experienceEmbrace ongoing learning to stay current with UX design trendsCreate original graphic designs e.g. images, sketches and tablesPrepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholdersIdentify and troubleshoot UX problems e.g. responsivenessConduct layout adjustments based on user feedbackAdhere to style standards on fonts, colours and imageAn in-depth understanding of design and UX principles, including layout and colour theoryExperience creating user personas to explain a target audienceAn understanding of users' needs and emotions to inform design decisionsInformation architecture skills to structure information intuitivelyCritical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues with products and servicesStrong communication and collaboration skills to work with developers, product managers and other stakeholders What you must have:Bachelor's degree or another degree or certificate in UX design, information architecture, graphic design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, multimedia design, digital media or a related field5+ years of experience in UX designProven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar (digital/multimedia) role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design projectsProficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or InVisionProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)Excellent understanding of digital design principles and best practices for web and mobile platformsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisionsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience working in agile development environments is a plusBasic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (to work with developers for design implementation)
