This is the perfect opportunity to be part of a diverse team providing assessment, diagnostics, diagnosis, treatment, advice, and referrals.As an Urgent Treatment Centre Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will be considered a key person in day-to-day clinical leadership and expertise within the department.You will be working autonomously within your sphere of competency as a clinician in a diverse, multi-skilled team that includes GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Physician Associates, Paediatric ANPs, Emergency Practitioners, and Live Well Coaches.On each shift, you will provide expert advice and second opinions for patients seen and treated by junior members of staff.With links to both VTS and Greenwich University, you will have access to a range of CPD courses. We work closely with the ICS, ICB, Local Trust, and various other local stakeholders to provide opportunities to learn, innovate, and contribute new ideas.This is a genuine opportunity to be a part of something new and exciting in South-East London, with real opportunities for personal growth and to influence Urgent Care in your area. We are looking for full and part-time ANPs on a permanent salaried basis. The service is 365 days per year, 7 days a week which means that shifts are available 24/7.Main duties of the jobPrincipal duties and responsibilitiesTake responsibility for the patients assigned through the streaming process.Perform assessment of patients' needs, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment and care using advanced clinical knowledge and skills.To assess diagnostics including ECGs, bloods, urinalysis, and X-rays.Be able to discuss with patients and carers the range of possible treatment/management options and their implications before treatment decisions are made.Instigate and implement clinical management and treatment changes when appropriate.Contribute to specific care guidelines and standards supporting the care of patients across the health economy.To implement Health and Safety and Risk Management appropriate to the area of work.To deliver aspects of the Clinical Governance Agenda, following the direction of the Clinical Leadership.Contribute to and manage various elements of auditing in the UTC.To have overall responsibility for other members of the clinical team within the UTC.About usGreenwich Health is the GP Federation for the Greenwich Borough.
