User Interface Designer

Key Responsibilities:Work closely with the lead designer, developers, and project managers to create visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces.Conduct quality assurance testing, identifying and troubleshooting design issues across web and mobile platforms.Ensure consistent implementation of UI guidelines and optimize user experiences for clarity and accessibility.Assist in reviewing and refining design assets and prototypes to meet usability and functionality standards.Provide feedback on design elements and test for functionality, responsiveness, and consistency.Stay up-to-date on UI trends, design tools, and testing methods to support ongoing improvements in product quality.Tech Stack:Design Tools: Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or similar for creating and refining UI and graphic designs.Prototyping & Wireframing: Experience with tools like Figma for creating interactive prototypes.Front-End Technologies: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Ruby on Rails to facilitate communication with development teams.Testing Tools (Nice-to-Have): Experience with QA tools such as BrowserStack, Selenium, or similar for cross-browser and cross-device testing.UI Frameworks (Nice-to-Have): Familiarity with React to understand how UI elements are implemented in development.Other Requirements:Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail to ensure high standards of design and usability.Basic SQL Knowledge: Ability to query databases for data validation and testing purposes.Collaboration Tools: Experience with tools like Github or Trello for task management and reporting.Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree or coursework in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Experience: A minimum of 1 year working as a designer.Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing design projects, including UI designs and any relevant coursework or personal projects.Detail-Oriented and Analytical Skills: Strong eye for visual detail, as well as the ability to identify and resolve issues in user interfaces and usability.Knowledge of QA Testing Principles: Familiarity with basic testing concepts and tools, including experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing.Communication and Teamwork Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate design and testing findings clearly, and take constructive feedback.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot design and usability issues independently and think critically about improvements.Eagerness to Learn: A strong drive to keep up with UI/UX and testing trends, methodologies, and tools in a fast-paced environment.Salary:R14k - R18k (depending on experience) Should you not receive a response from us within one week of your application, your application has unfortunately not been successful.
