Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a DTP Designer at our head office in Midrand. You will be required to design Point of Sale creative and ensure DTP standards are adhered to. Deliver end to end creative designs such as promotions and other marketing requirements and ensure that texts, images, and illustration elements meet the standards for print production. Translate artwork into digital files suitable for printing.
Minimum Requirements… Essential: Grade 12 – Matric, and a Qualification in Graphic Design or DTP.Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Desk Top Publisher (DTP) or Point of Sale (POS) Graphics Designer.Advantage: Visual Communication qualificationExperience in the execution of POS collateral within the retail spaceJob Specification… Create and roll out POS projects from Inception to completion.Design layouts for all POS displays (wobblers, shelf talkers, etc.) for promotions and other business requirements.Ensure all designs are in-line with the brief and elements meet the design requirements for printing.Execute print ready POS design for the production team and/or suppliers.Follow and adhere to the Dis-Chem Point of Sale CI standards.Align all POS creative assigned to Dis-Chem brand by ensuring that the Corporate Identity (CI) is maintained.Submit final POS designs/files for quality assurance and printing.Execute any brief for DTP work required by the business and its stakeholders which includes but is not limited to the editing of marketing material and graphic designs required by the business.Collaborate with Graphic Designers, Advertising Coordinators, Category Buyers, and Category Managers to ensure high quality work.Liaise with the Advertising team and/or various business agencies for information required to execute POS design collateral.Ensure approval process is adhered to by Line manager and Advertising team.Streamline store requests for any POS designs and provide prompt feedback.Ensure team members are informed about the different promotions and are in the loop with regards to finalizing them.Provide relevant and accurate feedback to team members and management regarding POS designs/displays.Update workflow (Click Up) during the publishing process.Maintain accurate records of all jobs assigned and progress thereof.Ensure all advertising displays and materials are available on the intranet.Adhere to project deadlines and inform management in advance if these deadlines won't be met.Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.Competencies Essential: Advanced Computer skills (Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Fiery Software)DTP KnowledgeKnowledge of Graphic DesignPOS knowledge and industry skillsTime managementEnglish read and writeBe able to identify and solve problems to ensure work is done efficientlySelf-disciplineBe willing to learn and share knowledgeHave and demonstrate initiativeTeam player with good communication skillsSpecial conditions of employment: South African citizenMIE, clear criminal and creditDriver's license and/or own reliable transportRemuneration and benefits: Market related salaryMedical aidProvident fundStaff accountONLY SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED.
