Description: Position Summary: Under general supervision of the Executive Director, Annual and Leadership Giving (ALG) and collaborating with other members of the ALG team, the incumbent helps to develop and implement strategies to promote annual and leadership giving from alumni, faculty, staff and friends by building on existing fundraising programs and establishing new ones. The incumbent is responsible for program development and analysis, new program development and expansion of direct marketing and new media as related to ALG mass engagement strategies.
Qualifications Required: Education: A University degree, or an equivalent combination of education with advancement experience is required.Experience: Minimum eight (8) years recent and related experience working on all aspects of annual and leadership giving campaign planning and execution.Deep familiarity with ALG and advancement processes in a university or not-for profit environment.Experience working with senior advancement and senior divisional leadership.Candidates having a marketing communication or public relations background will also be considered.Must have proven leadership ability and demonstrated project management experience.Supervisory experience.Skills: Demonstrated interest and experience in development or in university advancement; an effective proven project manager.Sound judgment and initiative; intelligent and discriminating analytical skills.Demonstrated management experience; organizational strength.Flexibility; ability to create a team environment and yet to work well independently.Other: Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.Highly developed relationship management skills.Demonstrates initiative, tact, diplomacy, creativity and political acumen.Cultural sensitivity and capacity to work with international students and donors.Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills.Ability to manage and motivate staff and volunteers to achieve objectives.A demonstrated ability to work well with individuals both within and outside of the University.Exceptional management skills – analytical, problem solving, negotiation, motivation and development of others.A demonstrated ability to successfully implement change.Focused and goal-oriented.Proven ability to inspire confidence, to motivate and to persuade.Ability to be flexible in working independently as well as collaboratively.Exhibits initiative to organize and follow through with complex tasks to meet deadlines.Ability to solve problems in a strategic and tactical manner.Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle required.Valid passport for international travel is required.Requires constant assessment of risk mitigating strategies to optimize results due to the complexities of stakeholder engagement.Closing Date: 01/15/2025, 11:59 PM ET
