Uav Service & Technical Support Specialist

Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a bachelors degree in agriculture, mechatronics, or related field, with a focus on drones, or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years experience in technical support or a similar role Must have a completed Remote Pilot License (RPL) with proven flight experience Experience in customer technical training with strong presentation skills are essential Passion for the commercial agricultural drone market Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, locally and internationally Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required Must have strong technical expertise combined with a commercial aptitude The successful candidate will be responsible for: Overseeing and executing drone service and repair strategies in the Western Cape while collaborating with agricultural drone customers and contractors. Developing and managing service and support documentation for third-party service providers, ensuring high-quality post-sale service. Maintaining technical relationships with business partners, providing training and necessary parts for optimal service. Leading demonstration days and training sessions as a licensed Remote Pilot (RPL), offering ongoing support in the region. Becoming a product expert, showcasing the benefits of drones and assisting with sales. Identifying opportunities, following up with customers, and driving the planning and execution of demonstration days.
