Working at AsdaWorking within the data and analytics team, you will work directly within our data science team to produce complex data science models to identify and deliver business value across a number of key business processes. You will be part of a team within a diverse data function, as well as supporting activities across the wider organisation, requiring a strong teamwork ethic and a desire to develop working relationships.
Your Role:Develop and refine algorithms for personalised user experiences across our platforms.Utilize Python, PySpark and SQL to manipulate data and build scalable models for personalisation.Employ Databricks for collaborative data exploration, manipulation, and visualisation.Collaborate closely with the engineering team to integrate personalization solutions into production.Engage in all stages of model development, from conception to deployment and monitoring.Analyze A/B testing results and other data to continuously improve the personalization algorithms.Communicate complex data-driven insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data science and personalization.Support maintenance of MLOps infrastructure, ensuring seamless model deployment and scalability.About You:A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Data Scientist role, with a focus on personalization is a plus.Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL are required, knowledge and experience with PySpark is a plus.Familiarity with machine learning, statistical analysis, A/B testing, and predictive modeling techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.A team player who is also capable of working independently when required.Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.Experience working in personalisation solutions.Experience with Databricks and Cloud platforms (especially Azure).Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.Work Where it WorksOur hybrid way of working gives you the choice to work where it works.
